DEA No, Clinton Yes: As POTUS, Hillary Would Reschedule Marijuana

What I’ve said is let’s take it off the what’s called Schedule I and put it on a lower schedule so that we can actually do research about it.” ~ Hillary Rodham Clinton

Smelling the political opportunity cultivated by yesterday’s DEA decision, Hillary Clinton has made it perfectly clear – as president she would reschedule marijuana.

Provided Hillary trounces her “tiny fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret-wearing shitgibbon,” as projected by many will happen, the DEA may soon find their attempt to keep marijuana relegated to the dark ages, trumped.

According to a post on Time.com, Hillary’s campaign informed the Denver Post, “As president, Hillary will build on the important steps announced today by rescheduling marijuana from a Schedule I to a Schedule II substance,” while simultaneously ensuring those states that have passed marijuana statutes, can continue to operate in America’s “laboratories of democracy.”

As first reported by Tom Angell, Clinton explained to Jimmy Kimmel her enlightened position on March 25, 2016:

“I think what the states are doing right now needs to be supported, and I absolutely support all the states that are moving toward medical marijuana, moving toward — absolutely — legalizing it for recreational use. But I want to see what the states learn from that experience because there are still a lot of questions that we have to answer at the federal level.”

Calling for a reclassification of cannabis under federal law, she added, “What I’ve said is let’s take it off the what’s called Schedule I and put it on a lower schedule so that we can actually do research about it. There’s some great evidence about what marijuana can do for people who are in cancer treatment, who have other kinds of chronic diseases, who are suffering from intense pain. There’s great, great anecdotal evidence but I want us to start doing the research because Jimmy. Suppose you’re taking two of three prescription drugs and you don’t know what dosage you should be mixing with everything. So let’s find out and let’s make that available and let’s do more and support it.”

Indeed. After decades of deceit and senseless prohibition – it’s time for a change. And, if Clinton fails to win … well … welcome to Trump country, and continued ignorance!
