Sir Patrick Stewart Uses Cannabis Spray to Heal His Hands

How does 76-year-old Sir Patrick Stewart keep his aging, sore hands fresh enough to act as Professor X in Logan? Cannabis spray, of course.

The actor also known for his famous turn as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek recently sat down with Esquire to discuss Logan, Donald Trump, and what it’s like to be a living legend. When asked whether or not his role as the “mentally fragile Charles Xavier” in Logan made him contemplate his own aging, Stewart offered this eloquent response:

“I mean, my main problem is my hands don’t work very well. But thanks to cannabis they work much better than they used to. Thanks to the law in California now, it’s just a spray that I put on.”

When asked what happens when he returns to the United Kingdom, Stewart quipped,

“I can’t answer that question.”

As is the case with his fictional role as Professor X in the acclaimed X-Men series, Stewart clearly has no qualms about being a bit different than your typical knight.

In unrelated Sir Patrick Stewart news, the actor recently adopted a foster pit bull named Ginger — and the duo appear to be getting along swimmingly:
